Call For Paper
The FCE conference, organized by the Turkish Section of the Combustion Institute, is a prestigious international event focused on advancements in renewable fuels, combustion technologies, and fire safety. Following its successful editions in Turkey, especially in 2021, the conference will be held this year in Hammamet, Tunisia, in December 22-24, 2025.
FCE’25 will provide a dynamic platform for researchers, industry professionals, and policymakers to discuss cutting-edge research, innovative technologies, and sustainable solutions in the fields of energy and combustion science. The event aims to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange to address global challenges in energy and fire safety.

Short Biography:
Prof. Roger Cracknell has a PhD in Chemistry from Imperial College. He joined Shell in 1994 and in 2019 he was appointed to the role of Principal Science Expert within Shell. Roger is a Fellow of the Society of Automotive Engineers, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, a Visiting Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Leeds, and Honorary Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Birmingham. He is also a member of the International Board of Directors of the Combustion Institute.

Short Biography:
Prof. Raja Mazuir Bin Raja Ahsan Shah is a distinguished academic and engineer with over 27 years of experience in the automotive and mobility engineering fields, currently serving as the Associate Dean at the College of Engineering at the University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) in Qatar. His career spans both academia and industry, with previous roles at Coventry University, Warwick University, and companies like Lotus Engineering and Arrival. He is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and holds expertise in powertrain electrification and vehicle engineering.
Prof. Mazuir is currently working on several research clean mobility projects to develop a sustainable and renewable green hydrogen EV charging infrastructure, a novel lithium-ion battery thermal management system for energy and thermal optimisation, a sustainable mobility system, and advanced sustainable mobility design and testing facilities.

Short Biography:
Prof. Dr. Mustafa İLBAŞ graduated from ERU in 1988 as a Mechanical Engineer. In 2011, he was appointed as a Professor at Gazi University, Türkiye, Department of Energy Systems Engineering. Prof. Dr. İLBAŞ has carried out international cooperation and academic activities in many countries.
İLBAŞ has a Patent on Hydrogen and 200 international and national published qualified scientific articles and papers. Having successfully completed his duty as the Founding Vice Rector of Bozok University in 2006-2007, He served as the Founding Dean of Gazi University Faculty of Technology between 2011-2014. He successfully completed this task and handed it over at the end of its legal term. Having successfully completed the duties of National Defense University Defense Sciences and National Security Institute Board Member (2017-2020) and Gazi University Energy Systems Engineering Department Head (2019-2022), Prof. Dr. Mus-tafa İLBAŞ is married and has two children.

Short Biography:
Professor Mouldi Chrigui is a distinguished academic with Tunisian and German citizenship1. He is a professor at the National Engineering School of Gabes (ENIG), where he also leads the Laboratory of Mechanical Modeling, Energy, and Materials (LM2EM). He holds an engineer diploma and a master's degree in mechanical engineering from the Karlsruhe University of Technology and a Ph.D. from the Darmstadt University of Technology.
Prof. Chrigui is a certified international expert in combustion modeling, his research focuses on multiphase flow modeling and spray combustion. He has also been involved in industrial projects, including studies on power plants in Germany. Throughout his career, he has received numerous accolades, including awards from the University of Sydney, the University of Heidelberg, and the Tunisian Ministry of Higher Education.
