December 22–24, 2025, Hammamet - Tunisia International Conference on Renewable Fuels, Combustion and Fire (FCE’25)
Call For Paper
The FCE conference, organized by the Turkish Section of the Combustion Institute, is a prestigious international event focused on advancements in renewable fuels, combustion technologies, and fire safety. Following its successful editions in Turkey, especially in 2021, the conference will be held this year in Hammamet, Tunisia, in December 22-24, 2025.
FCE’25 will provide a dynamic platform for researchers, industry professionals, and policymakers to discuss cutting-edge research, innovative technologies, and sustainable solutions in the fields of energy and combustion science. The event aims to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange to address global challenges in energy and fire safety.
The conference will be in hybrid format: in-person and online.
Online Participation
- A remote/online presentation session will be scheduled during the conference.
- Participants must record their presentation in video format (MP4 or AVI) and submit it by December 11, 2025.
- Video length should not exceed 10 minutes
- Abstract Submission and Conference Registration remain mandatory, even for remote presentations.

On-Site Hydrogen Generation and Utilization as a Solution to Storage Challenges
Short Biography:
Prof. Dr. Nafiz Kahraman is a faculty member in the Department of Space Engineering at Erciyes University, Türkiye. He received his B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Erciyes University. His research focuses on energy systems, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, combustion, alternative fuels, and engine performance.
Prof. Kahraman has authored more than 180 scientific publications and has over 1600 citations in international indexes. He previously served as Vice Rector of Erciyes University and has held various administrative roles, including Head of the Department of Space Engineering and University Senate Member. He has also conducted research as a visiting scholar at the University of Nevada, Reno and Pennsylvania State University.
His recent work includes studies on hydrogen-enriched fuels, nanoparticle-enhanced combustion, and energy–exergy analyses in advanced engine systems.

Short Biography:
Prof. Dr. Mustafa İLBAŞ graduated from ERU in 1988 as a Mechanical Engineer. In 2011, he was appointed as a Professor at Gazi University, Türkiye, Department of Energy Systems Engineering. Prof. Dr. İLBAŞ has carried out international cooperation and academic activities in many countries.
İLBAŞ has a Patent on Hydrogen and 200 international and national published qualified scientific articles and papers. Having successfully completed his duty as the Founding Vice Rector of Bozok University in 2006-2007, He served as the Founding Dean of Gazi University Faculty of Technology between 2011-2014. He successfully completed this task and handed it over at the end of its legal term. Having successfully completed the duties of National Defense University Defense Sciences and National Security Institute Board Member (2017-2020) and Gazi University Energy Systems Engineering Department Head (2019-2022), Prof. Dr. Mus-tafa İLBAŞ is married and has two children.

Short Biography:
Professor Mouldi Chrigui is a distinguished academic with Tunisian and German citizenship1. He is a professor at the National Engineering School of Gabes (ENIG), where he also leads the Laboratory of Mechanical Modeling, Energy, and Materials (LM2EM). He holds an engineer diploma and a master's degree in mechanical engineering from the Karlsruhe University of Technology and a Ph.D. from the Darmstadt University of Technology.
Prof. Chrigui is a certified international expert in combustion modeling, his research focuses on multiphase flow modeling and spray combustion. He has also been involved in industrial projects, including studies on power plants in Germany. Throughout his career, he has received numerous accolades, including awards from the University of Sydney, the University of Heidelberg, and the Tunisian Ministry of Higher Education.
